Wood and Bone Ron Reichs produced his first substantial wood sculpture during the "Wood Sculpture Live '07" symposium 13th - 22nd April 2007. Well now, who wood've thought that two years have passed since the last symposium & that I wood be lucky enough to be included in the 2009 event? Here is the resulting sculpture, carved from a limb of a 125 year old English Oak which had to be felled because of disease. Nearing the end of 2009 the guilts got to me and I finally carved a moose antler for a friend who brought it back to NZ from the Yukon. A couple more years have passed & once again I was fortunate to be included in the "Wood Sculpture Live '11" symposium. In this event I won an award for "The most Interactive Sculpture" with my work "Pouncing Panther"
